make me something, please!

Hi everyone,
Take a minute or so and make a mini collage to share with me. I would love to see what you come up with using the items I've saved. Make it weird, pretty or funny, just get wild or creative and have fun!

Drag the items onto the canvas below. Layer, repeat, scale or rotate them to your hearts content. :)

Decked Halls

It is my second
favorite time of
year...
Immediately
following
Thanksgiving,
I am ready to
play christmas
music non-stop,
make dozens of
cutout sugar cookies
and watch
All I want for Christmas
while I eat the
cookies.
The apartment also
got a wintery
makeover.
Bill, Megan and I
made an evening
of paper wreath making, building a faux fire and trimming the tree.

a collection of all my Harry Potter inspired sets on Polyvore. I clearly wish I were a Hufflepuff, but Potions would be my best subject. Deathly Hallows Part II only eight months away now.

salmon jalapeño burgers

I have spent 17 years of my life as a vegetarian. In the last five years I have been very slowly integrating meat into my diet. I have still yet to eat beef, except for one single bite of steak drunkenly fed to me by my best friend Darcy. My boyfriend, Bill, finds it appalling that I have never once in my life eaten a hamburger. My retort is that there are plenty of great burgers that are made without beef! So we made these delicious salmon jalapeño burgers with bell peppers, pepper-jack cheese, avocado and of course green chile. Yum!☺

stamp collection

I recently went to Oklahoma to visit my mother. On her to-do list of things I must accomplish while I was home was to go through boxes of my old belongings and decide which of my childhood treasures were worth keeping, and what could be tossed. I came across my beloved stamp collection that I started in third grade. It was actually a pretty amazing collection, it includes stamps from all over the world. It is almost impossible to pick a favorite. I wonder any of these could be worth money someday...? Who knows, but I can simply appreciate these gorgeous stamps for the stellar designs. Please enjoy these selections from my childhood stamp collection.

The Octopus Project

I just got the chance to see The Octopus Project at the Echoplex this past weekend. One thing I love about the venue is that it is so small you I can usually get right up front. It was my second time seeing the band preform and I was delighted that I got to purchase an extra early copy of Hexadecagon, their new album, strait from Yvonne herself! She was amazing to talk to, all I could do was shower her with many compliments on her badass Theremin skills.

P.S. the Vinyl comes with a zoetrope to build for each track of the album. AMAZING!

Brand Library Park

Early morning cloudy hike with Bijou close to home at Brand Library Park.

After the hike, I stopped into the Library and Art Center and got some amazing design and illustration books. The Library is such a beautiful building and it holds one of the best Art and Music collections I have ever seen.
